Child Advocates of Blair County
Child Advocates of Blair County, Inc. is a private, nonprofit, community-based organization founded in 1982 that provides high quality programming focused around the total needs of the family. As part of its strategic goal plan, the program has worked to develop and implement innovative practices and responsive programming for children and families to ensure we are recognized as the model for a premiere early childhood provider in Blair County.
CABC Educational Programming
CABC, Inc. is the grantee for the Blair County Head Start program and a local grantee for the PA Pre-K Counts program. It also offers Teen Link Connection and research based Nurturing and Networking programs.
All programs provide a range of high quality educational and social services that cross the span of ages from preschool to adulthood.

Blair County Head Start is a high quality, comprehensive preschool program that supports the concept that all children can be successful learners through the provision of high quality preschool education, combined with health, family engagement and social services. The program is FREE for to eligible children between the ages of three and entry age to kindergarten. A variety of program options are available across eleven centers throughout the county.
PA Pre-K Counts
PA Pre-K Counts is a high quality pre-kindergarten program that prepares children for a successful school experience. It is FREE for low to middle income families with children between the age of 3 and the entry age for kindergarten. CABC’s Pre-K Counts classrooms are located in Altoona, Claysburg and Williamsburg.
Teen Link Connection
Teen Link Connection is comprised of several programs which support Blair County teens and families. Programs under Teen Link Connection provide after school activities and events, parenting support, education programs and case management services.
